Extech VB450 Vibration Meter

The VB450 measures the vibration of rotating equipment such as fans, pumps, compressors and motors. It reads velocity (RMS), acceleration (peak) and displacement (peak to peak) across 10 Hz to 1500 Hz. Misalignment, poor balance and loose mounts all push vibration up, so a rising reading is worth looking into.

Thermal and vibration together

A thermal camera shows a bearing running hot. A vibration reading helps show whether it is wearing. Used together, they give you a fuller picture of the machine.

Remote sensor

The sensor is on a lead with a magnetic mount, so you can attach it to the machine and hold the meter where you can read it.

Simple to use

The reading holds automatically when you release the measure button, so you can take the meter away and still see the result.
